CITY OF
ATKINSON, NEBRASKA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a meeting of the Mayor and City Council of the City of Atkinson, Nebraska, will be held at 7:30 p.m. on May 2, 2022 at the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building at 104 S. Main Street, which meeting will be open to the public. An agenda for such meeting, kept continuously current, is available for public inspection at the office of the City Clerk. Except for items of an emergency nature, the agenda shall not be enlarged later than twenty-four hours before the scheduled commencement of the meeting.

There will be an Electronics Recycling Collection on Friday, April 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. or until full at the Atkinson Community Center.
Items which can be recycled include: computers, monitors, printers, cell phones, laptops, mouse, towers, Ipads, tablets, cameras, VCR, DVD, and Blu-Ray players, gaming system, flat screen TVs, small appliances, microwaves, power devices, speakers, amplifiers, Christmas lights, anything rechargeable like batteries, cords, flashlights, tools, yard gadgets, and much more.
Items which will not be accepted include: large appliances, old tube TVs, AC units or freon items.

A funeral service for Janette F. (Clemens) Toben, age 78, of Fremont, Neb. will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Fremont Alliance Church.
Burial will follow in Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 30, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont.

A funeral service for Eva (Kubart) Thompson, age 106 of Omaha, Neb. will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Atkinson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning, one hour prior to the funeral service at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery at Atkinson.
Seger Funeral Home of Atkinson is in charge of the arrangements.

A funeral service for Irene Beed, age 82, of Chambers, Neb. will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., at Biglin’s Mortuary of O’Neill. Mike Loy will officiate.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at the Chambers Cemetery. Pastor Mike Durre will officiate.
Memorials may be directed to the Chambers Volunteer Fire Department.
