A funeral service for Allen Dwayne Boes, age 84, of Atkinson, Neb. will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Atkinson.
Burial will be in the Herrick Cemetery, Herrick, S.D.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 7, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at the church.

Smith to Hold Virtual Mobile Offices
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) will hold virtual mobile offices this week to meet with constituents of the Third District. In order to ensure sufficient capacity and provide greater opportunity for constituents to join, Smith will hold both morning and midday events on Wednesday, April 7. Those interested in attending must pre-register at the links provided below.
A mobile office allows constituents to meet directly with Congressman Smith about federal issues and take advantage of the constituent services available through his office, such as assisting individuals with challenges they face while working with a federal agency, ordering flags flown over the U.S. Capitol, and booking future tours in Washington, D.C.

NCDHD is now offering COVID-19 vaccine to anyone 18 and older. To schedule an appointment, individuals should go to vaccinate.ne.gov to register. They will receive an email to schedule themselves at a clinic of their choice. More information is available on this process at the NCDHD website. Blow also included is an attachment of walk in clinic dates and times for this week.

NCDHD COVID-19 Vaccine Updates
NCDHD is set to receive 400 doses of Johnson and Johnson vaccine April 5th through April 9th.
Three clinics will be held across the district to give patrons access to this single dose COVID-19 vaccine. Patrons born to date in 2003 or older are eligible to receive this vaccine.

North Central District Health Department is vaccinating residents 18 and older for COVID-19. Any district residents born in 2003 or prior and resides in Antelope, Boyd, Brown, Cherry, Holt, Keya Paha, Knox, Rock, or Pierce county is now eligible to receive a vaccine.
The first step on the way to receiving a vaccine is getting registered. It is important for people 16 and older to register at vaccinate.ne.gov.
Access to this registry can also be found on the NCDHD homepage at: www.ncdhd.ne.gov. Currently, vaccine NCDHD is dispensing at clinics is only available for those 18 and older. NCDHD will notify the district when those 16 and older are eligible to receive vaccine.
NCDHD has shifted to online scheduling. Those who have registered or are newly registered should expect an email from: dhhs.no-reply_vras5@nebraska.gov with further instructions on how to self-schedule for an appointment to receive a COVID-19 vaccine when they are eligible. Please mark this address into your safe sender list as well as check junk and spam folders for any misclassification of this sender. The email will contain a link to schedule at a clinic of your choice. If registering and unable to provide an email address, district residents will be contacted by phone.

A private celebration of life service for Robert L. Prill, age 90, of Atkinson, Neb. will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Wesleyan Church in Atkinson.
The service will be live-streamed and may be viewed by the public on the Faith Wesleyan Church Facebook page.
Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill.
At the request of the family, all in attendance must wear masks and practice social distancing.
A public graveside service will be on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the Page Cemetery in Page with military rites provided by the Page American Legion Post 315.

NCDHD will continue to accept walk in appointments at this week’s COVID-19 vaccination clinics.
To qualify as a walk in, you must be 50+ and reside in Antelope, Boyd, Brown, Cherry, Holt, Keya Paha, Knox, Rock, and Pierce counties and be registered on the state registry at vaccinate.ne.gov.
Due to the limited number of doses allocated to the North Central District Health Department, we cannot accept individuals that live outside of our health district.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 19 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill with a 7:00 p.m. Catholic Daughters Rosary.
