Last Thursday the West Holt cross country teams started their season by attending the Burwell Invite.
Due to the forecasted high temperatures and possible afternoon thunderstorms the meet was moved from a 4:00 p.m. start up to a 10:00 a.m. start.
As this meet is early in the season, Burwell’s meet director has set the course up as a 4k instead of the normal 5k for high school runners. The junior high athletes competed at 2k.
We saw several good things on Thursday and we hope to build upon those as the season progresses.
