Eileen Osborne

Monday, September 14, Eileen Osborne was looking forward to her new part-time morning job as secretary at the Presbyterian Church. Osborne said that morning her only concern was to continue to learn her new position.
She remembered she woke with a slight dry cough but mentally passed it off as allergies. The day before the Presbyterian congregation had held services at the Prairie Hope Chapel north of Atkinson followed by a potluck dinner. She thought she had probably picked up an allergy there.
“I came home from work and took out a crossword puzzle for Dale and began to feel tired so I told him I was going to lay down for a bit. About that same time I developed a sharp headache in my temples. It was piercing. I took some Tylenol hoping I could sleep it off and then laid back down. That evening I had a temperature of 100.2 degrees”, Osborne said.
