The City of Plainview will be hosting a town hall meeting on Tuesday, May 5 at 5:15 p.m. in the Plainview Library to share results of the recently completed community survey.

It was reported at the City Council meeting last week that there were 184 responses to the survey, and the community is invited to hear the report on those responses, as well as “share the survey results, discuss priorities, and decide which potential projects we should pursue.”

The survey was conducted with the Northeast Nebraska Economic Development District and will hopefully be leveraged to obtain some Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, primarily to help with the proposed Plainview Manor/Whispering Pines expansion announced a number of months ago.

The survey asked responders to rate basic City services, technology services, quality of businesses and services, other concerns that should be addressed, and a host of questions concerning the Plainview Manor/Whispering Pines, and some demographic questions.

All are welcome to attend the meeting, hear the report and provide input into future projects.
