Farmers Pride donates to PBCF building fund

On May 23rd, 2023, Farmers Pride Cooperative and CoBank presented the Plainview Possible Campaign with a $5,000 matching funds grant to help fund the Plainview Community Center.

Plainview Farmers Pride location manager Dean Choat presented the check to Jim Krause and Kevin Lingenfelter, co-president and treasurer of the Plainview Brunswick Community Fund.

The donation was made possible thanks to a matching grant campaign through CoBank.

CoBank is a cooperative bank that provides financial services to agribusinesses such as Farmers Pride Cooperative, as well as rural power, water, and communications providers in all 50 states. CoBank established its ‘Sharing Success’ program in 2012, and since then the bank and its customers have together contributed nearly $76 million to rural community programs.

“Farmers Pride was happy to nominate the Plainview Possible Campaign as a candidate to receive these funds, and to help enable the construction of the new Plainview Community Center,” said a release from the company. “One of the guiding principles of all cooperative organizations is giving back to the communities the organization serves.”
