Flag Display Relocated to Social Center Wall

The American Legion Flag display that was formerly hanging in the old American Legion Club, now Mary’s Restaurant, has been relocated to the Plainview Social Center.

“This display is a great asset to the Center,” said Manager Diane Elwood “Before the Center purchased this building, it was originally the Legion Club. This display case was made after they moved to their last location, but we feel that the flags are back home where they belong.”

In honor of the move and new display, the Social Center will be putting up a Memorial Wall, and inviting the public to participate in decorating it.

The Center will be selling flags to decorate the wall in honor of loved ones that have served or are currently serving in the United States Military. “It’s not only a great way to honor your loved one on the display, but also to help support the Social Center,” said Elwood.

Flags can be obtained by stopping by the Center and providing the name to be included with the flag.
