Eleven Crofton FFA members got the opportunity to go to the National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 28 through November 1.

The National Convention involves FFA chapters from across the country; members shopped in downtown Indianapolis, and attended sessions, concerts, rodeos, college expos, and many more events.

The FFA chapter members left Tuesday night and came back Saturday night. The first event they attended was the welcome session, where they thanked people for coming and had speakers presenting motivational speeches.

Crofton also got the opportunity to get a tour of the Indy 500 Speedway, where the Indianapolis 500 NASCAR race is held. They also got to experience many career and college expos, where they could learn more about the fields they want to go into and learn more about their future. Senior Carter Steffen said, “I got to explore different areas of the farming community.”

2024 Crofton alum Emma Bilka also received her American Degree, the highest degree you can get as an FFA member. The Crofton FFA chapter attended the American Degree session to congratulate the former Crofton Alum.

The next competition for Crofton FFA is District LDE’s on November 19. They will compete in Ag Demos, creed speaking, quiz bowl, and more.
