The Crofton cross country team competed in O’Neill for the Mid-State Conference meet on Thursday, October 9.
Tons of course bests were met, including freshman Avery Arens who finished in first place this week with a time of 17:11.70.
Sophomore Fred Dennis got an astonishing personal record by 52 seconds; he credits his success to, "teammates motivating me, especially Charles Steffen.”
Another sophomore runner, Corbin Bernt, got a personal best by 47 seconds.
The varsity girls team finished in first place as a team led by an outstanding performance by Avery Arens in 1st, Sophia Wortmann in 5th, Cecilia Wortmann in 7th, and Hudsyn Stout in 11th.
