The Crofton Lady Warriors girls’ basketball team was represented by two locals at the 2025 North Central Nebraska (NCN) All-Star girls’ basketball game in O’Neill on Saturday, May 31.
Representing Crofton in the sixth-annual NCN All-Star game was none other than head coach of the Lady Warriors, Maggie Moon, as well as recent graduate, Jaida Allen.
Moon and Allen were both members of the White Team in the contest, which included athletes from Elkhorn Valley, Bloomfield, O’Neill, Chambers/Wheeler Central, West Holt, Wausa, and Niobrara-Verdigre.
The game itself was a close race going into halftime as the White Team maintained a four-point lead, 37-33 at the break.
However, after halftime, Moon, Allen, and the rest of the White Team began to pull away.
When the final buzzer sounded, it was the White Team who emerged victorious by a final score of 69-49.
To cap the big victory, Allen was named the game’s most valuable player, as she finished the contest with 21 points and three rebounds to lead her team to victory.
