Crofton Superintendent Chris Look had this to say:

“Crofton Community Schools is honored to have Mr. Johnnie Ostermeyer recognized as the Region III High School Principal of the Year. Mr. Ostermeyer has been employed at Crofton Community School as the 7-12 principal for the past ten years. I have had the privilege of working with Mr. Ostermeyer for six of those 10 years. I have always found him reliable, hard working, and dedicated to the students, parents, staff members, and the district he works for.

Mr. Ostermeyer demonstrates the highest level of professional commitment and skill in everything he does. He works hard to help all students succeed through building relationships and working to understand their needs better. Mr. “O” is an excellent communicator with students, parents, and staff. He always values the thoughts and ideas of others. He understands the big picture and how one decision as an administrator can affect more than one classroom. Mr. O is a great leader, often volunteering or being selected by peers to take on leadership roles in the community, district, and the state. This is evident in his work with the Crofton Community Club, Crofton’s Dam Race, NSASSP Region III President, among several other organizations and events!

Mr. Ostermeyer sets high expectations for himself and any group he leads. He stays current on best practices in education and continues to bring new ideas into the junior/senior high school. He is always willing to take on a challenge when it is in the best interest of the students.”
