The Knox County Board of Supervisors have given notice of two hearings to be held on Wednesday, June 11 to determine a vote on the recommendations for future wind and solar commercial developments in the county.
The meeting follows a Knox County Planning & Zoning Committee meeting at the Barn at God’s Country a few weeks ago where the committee took public comment on the topic of banning wind and solar developments in the county.

Notice is hereby given that the Knox County Board of Supervisors will hold two public hearings beginning at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at The Barn at God’s Country, 53174 Hwy 84, Center, Nebraska.
The first public hearing will be held to consider and take action on recommendations from the Planning Commission on changes to Chapter 9: Community, Utilities and Energy of the Knox County, Nebraska Comprehensive Development Plan for the ban of future wind and solar commercial developments.
Immediately following the first public hearing, a second public hearing will be held to consider and take action on recommendations from the Planning Commission on repealing, in their entirety, Section 8.08 Commercial/Utility Grade Wind Energy Systems and Section 8.23.05 Commercial Solar Conversion Systems of the Knox County, Nebraska Zoning Regulations. The Planning Commission’s Report to Board of Supervisors may be examined in the office of the Knox County Clerk during normal business hours at any time prior to the public hearing.
