The Crofton Warrior and Lady Warrior track and field teams competed in an invite at Battle Creek last Thursday, May 8, with both teams finishing in the top five.

The Warriors team put together 53 team points to take fourth overall in the 18 events. Battle Creek won the tournament with 170 points, second was West holt with 125, and Hartington Cedar Catholic was third with 68. Columbus Scotus, Wayne, Norfolk and Madison trailed Crofton.

The Lady Warriors scored a bit better, but finished in fifth overall with 59 team points. Battle Creek won the ladies’ side of the tournament as well with 145 team points. West Holt was second with 122.6 and Columbus Scotus was third with 118. Wayne finished in fourth, and Hartington Cedar Catholic, Norfolk and Madison rounded out the team standings after Crofton.

The Warrior Track teams were listed for the C-4 District Meet in Battle Creek on Thursday, May 15, with those qualifiers heading back to Omaha the May 23-24 weekend at Burke Stadium.
