On a brisk day in Hartington, 15 high school golf teams gathered for a competitive invitational meet.
Among them was Crofton, represented by four golfers: Grant Schieffer, Layne Schieffer, Emersyn Guenther, and Cole Look.
Leading the charge for Crofton was Grant Schieffer, who turned in a score of 83, earning him 11th place overall—a strong showing.
G. Schieffer said “I felt really good about the meet. I knew I could have definitely done better, but I wasn’t upset with how I performed.”
Following him was Layne Schieffer, who finished in 43rd place with a solid round of 97. Cole Look came in 67th with a score of 127, while Emersyn Guenther was right behind him in 68th, carding a 130 on the day.
