The site being considered for the proposed new outdoor sports complex at Niobrara Public Schools is on the old Niobrara townsite and is considered historical. An historical architectural evaluation was needed before the project could proceed. Niobrara Public School has received word from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regarding the evaluation. School Superintendent Margaret Sandoz reported on the matter at the school board's regular meeting, March 9.
