Sun shone on Monday, March 8th as the Stuart speech team boarded the bus headed to the D2-3 district meet at Chambers. With a restriction of three spectators per participant, the competition began at 10:00 a.m.
Stuart speakers knew the day would be full of fierce competition and they would need to perform well and have the blessing of the judges in order to advance to the state competition.
At the end of the day, Stuart was crowned district runner-up behind Chambers and qualified 10 events and eight students for the state speech meet in Kearney.
